Our federal government is broken with polarization. Each party is obsessed with making the other party look bad, rather than solving the major issues facing our nation.  

Career politicians toe their party line and dare not risk reaching across the aisle. Partisan gridlock rules, so major issues go unsolved.  Most Americans are in the sensible middle yet have no voice in Congress.

My wife and I were appalled after downloading a one-sided lesson on the Israel-Gaza war from our youngest son’s Freshman Ethnic Studies class last November: Basically, there are now generations of kids raised on a world view of Oppressed versus Oppressor by teaching a counter narrative that casts Israel (and America) as Oppressors.

We’re in a new version of the Cold War, call it 2.0 - Our adversaries now are the same countries we faced 50 years ago: Russia (Soviet Union), China, and Iran. Even add North Korea to the list. Of course, China is now a huge economic competitor than it was in the 70s.
